Education Begins Registration for Adult Education Evening Classes

The V.I. Department of Education provides several Adult Education Program opportunities for persons interested in obtaining a high school diploma, a basic education classes, GED (General Education Diploma) preparation, courses in self- improvement, vocational classes or English as a Second Language (ESL). Second semester evening programs are scheduled to begin on Feb. 24 and run through June 15. Offerings are as follows:

V.I. Career and Technical Institute at the Wheatley Skill Center
GED Preparation: $100 per semester
Cosmetology and Computer: $250 per course
Registration: Feb. 8 through March 5
Classes begin: Feb. 22
Monday through Thursday from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Adult Continuing Education at Charlotte Amalie High School
High School Diploma, ESL (English as a Second Language) and Self-improvement: $100 per course
Registration: (HSD) Feb. 8 through March 5
Classes begin: Feb. 22
Monday through Thursday from 6:15-10 p.m.
Adult Basic Education at Addelita Cancryn Jr. High School
GED Preparation and ESL (English as a Second Language): $50 per course
Registration: Feb. 8
Classes begin: Feb. 22
Monday and Wednesday from 6-9 p.m.
Adult Basic Education at Julius Sprauve School, St. John
GED preparation & ESL (English as a Second Language): $50 per course
Registration: Feb. 8
Classes begin: Feb. 22
Monday and Tuesday from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
All payments must be made by money order or bank draft in the specified amounts to the Government of the Virgin Islands. No cash or personal checks will be accepted.
