Police Investigating Recent Robbery, Assaults

St. Thomas Police are investigating three unrelated recent cases: a first-degree robbery and shooting, and two third-degree assaults.

• The robbery and shooting occurred at about 5 p.m. Monday at Neltjeberg Beach in the Northside area, where a 32-year-old male was robbed of his jewelry at gunpoint. According to the report, a masked male approached the victim and demanded his chain. A fight then ensued, and the suspect fired several shots at the victim. The victim was shot in his right hip.

• At about 7:15 p.m. Sunday police received reports of a third-degree assault in the Estate Nadir area. According to the report, a 32-year-old male victim told police he was confronted by a male suspect, and they began to fight. During the altercation the victim was stabbed several times with a pair of scissors. The victim also received lacerations to his upper body.

• At about 1 p.m. Friday, a third-degree assault occurred near the Purple Shop area in Estate Bovoni. A 17-year-old male student told police a male suspect stabbed him on the upper left side of his body with a kitchen knife. Additionally he said the suspect fled the area and ran towards the Estate Bovoni housing community.

The victims in all three cases were transported to the Roy L. Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment.
