Annie Veronica Moses, also known as “Annie Carty," died on Jan. 21, at her residence. She was 83 years old.
She is survived by her sons: Cromfield "Pumpy" Moses and Cyril Moses Sr.; grandchildren: Myron Moses, Carla Moses-Joanes, Carmen Moses, Nigel Moses, Cyril Moses Jr. and Shemalo Moses-Stantou; great-grandchildren: Elysa Moses, Tinesha Theophane, S’Joyah Joanes, S’Nante Joanes, Myron Moses Jr., Mya Moses, Jahmahree Moses, Nykya Moses, Kamani Moses, La’Ron Rodgers-Moses, Jayden Hackshaw-Moses and Kayla Stanton; sisters: Vera Moses-Moore, Priscilla Clarke and Doris Harris; brother: Stavus "Neil" Claxton; daughters-in-law: Veronica and Teresa Moses; nieces: Andrea Claxton, Thelma Harris, Kimbo Southwell and Ashima Frederick; and nephews: Kenmore Claxton, Curtney Claxton, Glen Claxton, Fabian Claxton, Curtis Claxton, Theodore Delocoudray, Gregory King, Dana Moore, Jayson Moore, Roger Moore, Hudson Hart and Kamoy Walters.
She is also survived by great nieces: Krystal Claxton, Michelle Webb, Nina Claxton, Ester Frederick, Abigail Frederick, Neria Jones, Chalice Delacoudray, Akeylah Delacoudray, Tiniqua King, Briana King, Brea King and Saxaun Moore; great nephews: Timothy Claxton, Kristopher Claxton, Mathias Claxton, Dwight Webb, Jamaal Claxton, Jonthan Jones, Azani Claxton, Azia Claxton, Eliezar Delocoudray and Brandon King; cousins and other relatives: Julia Pond, Ionie Ponde, Pauline Humphey, John Hughes, Kizzy Foster-Moses, Louison John and Lynne Cassell; special friends: Millicent Pemberton, Nestor, the Hubert family of St. Martin, Pastor Martin Gerald; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
