Veteran Ira Roberto Acoy of Estate LaValle died on June 29 at his residence.
He is survived by his spouse, Eunice Maynard-Acoy; stepson, Levi Maynard; daughter-in-law, Samantha Maynard; step grandson, Caleb Maynard; sisters: Clarita Acoy-Fenelon and Iris Acoy-Canton; brothers: Lauritz Acoy and Hubert Acoy; sisters-in-law: Eleanor Acoy, Dorothy Acoy, Maria Belen Murray and Yvonne Stanley; brothers-in-law: Hubert Maynard and Floyd Fenelon; godchildren: Larry Clarke Sr. and Larry Clarke Jr.; nieces and nephews too numerous to mention; special friends: Mr. and Mrs. Milligan, Ivan Goodridge, and Warren and Catherine Cornelius; close family friends: Milton Johannes, and Sylvia Cornelius and family.
He is also survived by other family members: Senator Celestino (Tony) White Sr., Dr. Clement White, Charles, Cheryl, Coreen, Claudette, Clarice, Carmen, Charlene and Daphne White, and Carolyn Hill, the Bailey family, Ada Powell Acoy and family, Gary Jarvis, Dolorita Watts and family, Majorie White Stevens and family, the Senthill family, Yvonne St. Louis and family, Louise Clarke and family, Annette Henry and family, Edwita "Tin-Tin" Hart and family, the Horsford family and the Cornelius family; as well as other family and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, at Friedensfeld Moravian Church, Estate Glynn. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
