DPNR Holds Commercial Fishermen Registrations

The Department of Planning and Natural Resources advises the public that commercial fishermen registration for 20011-2012 will be conducted as follows:
1. St. Thomas – Monday, July 18 to Wednesday, July 20, at the Division of Environmental Enforcement, Cyril E. King Airport, Terminal Building, 2nd floor from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
2. St. Croix – Monday, July 18, to Wednesday, July 20, at the Division of Environmental Enforcement, 6003 Estate Anna’s Hope, Christiansted (just west of the Department of Public Works complex) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
3. St. John – Monday, July 18- Wednesday July 20. St. John fishermen must register at the St. Thomas Office at Cyril E. King Airport
Commercial fishermen may also renew their boat registrations at this time. Commercial fishermen registering must have their 2010-2011 commercial catch reports submitted to be eligible to renew their permit. Additionally, a new commercial catch report form will be distributed to fishers at registration.
After July 20, fishermen may register on St. Croix at the Division of Fish and Wildlife, 45 Mars Hill, Frederiksted, on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by appointment. Fishers on St. Thomas may register after July 13 at the Division’s St. Thomas office at 6291 Estate Nazareth, Red Hook, daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
