Braene Ismenord, 22, was arrested around 3:15 p.m. Friday on aggravated second degree rape and third degree assault charges, according to a Police Department press release issued Monday.

According to police, an investigation revealed that Ismenord was involved in a sexual relationship with a female from the time she was 14 years old. The victim also told police that Ismenord struck her with an extension cord and cut her on her ankle with a fork.

His bail was set at $75,000 and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
