The Division of Real Property Tax advises Virgin Islands property owners that the 2010 property tax bills will become delinquent after Sept. 30. Because the payment deadline falls on a Sunday this year payments made by property owners on Monday, Oct. 1, will be considered as timely. Accordingly, penalty and interest charges for late payment of the 2010 bills will begin on Oct. 2. All appeals regarding the 2010 tax assessments must be filed with the Board of Tax Review by Oct. 15, according to a press release issued Thursday by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor.
