Dec. 2, 2004 In an Evening of visual arts and entertainment, Caribbean Community Theatre celebrates the artwork of local female artists and artisans in their third A & E @ CCT event on Dec. 4. The art show opens at 6 p.m. with entertainment slated to begin at 8 p.m. The event will be held at the newCaribbean Community Theatre at No. 18 Estate Orange Grove, behind the Golden Rock Shopping Center, between St. Croix Insurance and Long Reef Codos (on the road between the Easterly Building and Paradise Gym).
This artistic gathering, a release from CCT says, will feature the paintings of Janice Giles, photographs of Diane Butler, the "Island Angels" of Sylvia Brady, the "Mocko Jumbies" of Sandra Michael and the "Christmas Angels" of Tonya Swinnea.
Entertaining the audience will be the local talents of Patrick Baron, Lorraine Durand, J. Todd Howell, David Richards and Jon and Jordan Reuck. Other poets and entertainers will also lend a hand at the event, which promises to be a fun-filled night of art and friendship.
It is also a good time to do some early holiday shopping while supporting local artists, Ellen Des Jardines, CCT managing producer, said.
Hors doeuvres and desserts are included in the ticket price, but we ask everyone to please bring their favorite homemade dish to share (cookies, tarts, appetizers, etc.), and help spread the holiday cheer, Des Jardins said. A cash bar will be available.
Admission: $10 for adults and $5 for students.
