A young man sitting on a bench in the Harbor View Apartments received a nonfatal gunshot wound Saturday night, the V.I. Police reported Monday.

Police said the incident occurred about 10:20 p.m. The 18-year-old victim told police he heard gunshots and began to run. He felt a pain on his back and realized he had been shot.

Police canvassed the area and collected evidence but did not locate the shooter.
