Francis A. Thompson, also known as “Florence” and “Sister Mills,” died on March 18, at Schneider Regional Medical Center. She was 85 years old.
She is survived by sons: Glenville Thompson Sr. and Simeon Thompson; daughter, Hyacinth Thompson; granddaughter, Nina Fakunle; grandsons: Glenville Thompson Jr. and Jasen Thompson; granddaughters: Misha-Els Thompson, Jalesa Thompson and Brittany Thompson; great-grandson, Keiran Thompson; sister, Mary Samuel; special cousin, Mildred Baker; cousins: Melvin Mitchum, Maxzine Mitchum, Monica Mitchum, Myrtle Mitchum, Doreen Meade and Marvin Meade; daughters-in-law: Erica and Michelle Thompson; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, at Mt. Zion New Testament Church of God. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery.
