Gaynel Everna Christian, also known as “Gay,” of Estate Sion Farm died on March 9. She was 89 years old.
She is survived by her sisters: Shirley Swinton (NY) and Ernestine McKayle (NY); brother, Eugene Manners (NY); brothers-in-law: Walter Gerard, Louis Gerard, Victor Gerard and Charles Gerard; sisters-in-law and caregiver: Patricia Gerard-Smith, Claudia Gerard, Enid Gerard, Janet Gerard, Josepha Gerard, Evelyn C. Henderson, Opah Dilliard and Dolores Gerard;
She is also survived by special friends: Eddie and Carmen Padilla and family, Tommy Padilla and family, Carlos and Nina Cepeda and family, and Carmen Millis; cousins and other relatives: Vera Williams and family, and the Moorehead family; friends: Gaynel Turner and family, Marie Begraff, Daphne Andrews, Justina Hanson Rawlins, Grace Walcott Henry, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Clifford; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
