Clarita Agatha Acoy-Fenelon of Nanuet, New York, died on May 17. She was 79 years old.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Hubert Acoy and Vivian Acoy; daughter, Yva; sister, Idalia; and brothers: Levi, Clyde, Alphonso and Ira.
She is survived by her spouse, Florentin "Floyd" Fenelon; daughters: Velma Harris, Donna Harris, Janet Wright, Carol Christian and Tania Fenelon; grandchildren: Toya Harris, Vincent Morton Jr., Keisha Christain, Dartanian Turner II, Stanley Lowery III, Kayla, Caleb and Pierre-Louis; great-grandchildren: Tarik Mulley, Jaden Rivera, Jeremiah Morton, Elijah Lowery and Izziah Turner; sister, Iris Acoy-Canton; and brothers: Lauritz Acoy and Hubert Acoy.
She is also survived by sisters-in-law: Belen Murray, Dorothy Acoy, Eunice Acoy and Eleanor Acoy; cousins and other relatives: former Senator Celestine White, Dr. Clement White and family, the Bailey family, the Horsford family, the Senthill family, the Watts family, Marjorie White-Stevens and family, Ada Powell Acoy and family, Louise Clarke and family, the Cornelius family and Gary Jarvis; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 30, at Friedensfeld (Midland) Moravian Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
