Claudius Williams of Flambouyant Gardens died on July 7 at his residence. He was 79 years old.
He was preceded in death by: Caleb Williams, Isabelle Williams, Eli Williams, James "Sonny" Walters, Cordelia Innis, Martha Daniel, Ernest Walters and Susanna Williams.
He is survived by daughter, Adrienne L. Williams; sons: Gregory C. Williams Sr. and Kevin A. Williams; grandchildren: Paul Arnold III, Alani Arnold, Kezzia, Kayla, Kevin Jr., Gregory Jr., Rakeem, Ajani, Jameel, Larece, Rakieda, Reniece, Rashaud and Rasheed Williams; great-grandchildren: Gregory III, Rakeem Jr., Janilah and Jamira Williams, Alaynah Chenelle and S’Riyah Hatcher; sisters: Gloria Liburd (Nevis), Ruth Johannes and Eulah Simmons; brothers: Eslie Williams and Hasting Williams (NYC); and nieces: Kimberly Fludd, Darlene and Amy Innis, Camille, Vanessa and Ashley Williams, Carolyn "Glenis" James, Jule Liburd, Sharon Florent and Annette Thomas.
He is also survived by nephews: Lyndon Simmonds, Leighton Innis, Cayin and Kassim Williams, Lincoln and Lester Liburd, Jermaine Johannes, Jason Williams and Gary Walters; daughters-in-law: Karen C. and Wanda Williams; brothers-in-law: Lorenzo Simmons and Arnold Johannes; sisters-in-law: Edina Williams; cousins: Hazel Chiverton, Angela Morales, Dorothy Weekes and Jewel Nelson; special friends: the Flambouyant Gardens family, the Senior Citizen Center family; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 18, at Southside Pentecostal Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
