Ivan Barnard of Orlando, Florida, died on Sept. 1 at the Orlando Regional Medical Center. He was 76 years old.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Louisa James Barnard; father, Ernest Barnard; daughters: Sandra Barnard and Brenda Freeman; sisters: Eileen Barnard and Doreen Barnard; and brothers: Foster Barnard, Clarence Barnard, Ottley Skerritt and Eric Barnard.
He is survived by his daughters: Brenda Fawkes, Diana Spiver Dowe, Bridgette Barnard, Monica Barnard, Marsha Barnard and Marcia Barnard; grandchildren: Kamal, Kayla, Karina and Kyria Fawkes, Keemo, Kinyo, Keebo, Kwame, Kwase, Precious and K’mani Dowe, Malkia Morton, Reekah Georges, Alim Tyson, Atisha McIntosh, Chanel McIntosh, David McIntosh Jr., Tishelle Cox and Kishma James; and brothers: Claxton Barnard, Walter Barnard and Glenfield Barnard.
He is also survived by nieces: Pauline Williams, Dawn Barnard, Patrice, Janice, Natasha, and Sharon and Gwendolyn Barnard; nephews: Denfield Barnard, Errol Skeritt, Maurice Timothy, Gentry Barnard, David Barnard, Paul Barnard , Michael Barnard, Martin Barnard, Mark Barnard and Glenfield Barnard Jr.; sons-in-law: Lennox Galloway and Avery Fawkes; sisters-in-law: Claudina Barnard, Ruby Barnard and Genevieve Barnard; special friend, Olive Tong; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, at Friedensberg Moravian Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery. Professional Funeral services are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
