WEDNESDAY RADIO SHOWS SPOTLIGHT UVI ST. CROIX

Feb. 12, 2002 – University of the Virgin Islands students, alumni, faculty and staff are prominently featured in live radio broadcasts from the St. Croix campus Wednesday.
UVI gets the spotlight from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. as part of a weeklong promotion by Knight Quality Stations of live broadcasts from around the "Big Island" – St. Croix – according to a UVI release. Caller-participation programs will be broadcast over Radio One (AM 1000) and JAMZ (FM 105).
Wednesday's schedule:
9 a.m. to noon. "Topp Talk" on Radio One will feature Dr. William DeLone and Malcolm Kirwan as guests of host Sam Topp. The show will highlight UVI plans to establish a Research and Technology Park on St. Croix.
Noon to 1 p.m. "KV's Kitchen" on 105 JAMZ will include St. Croix students during the calypso music and call-in show.
2 to 4 p.m. "Leona" on Radio One will feature UVI officials as guests of host Leona Bryant, as well as a number of St. Croix campus students. Guests include St. Croix Chancellor Jennifer Jackson, University Relations coordinator Stella Saunders and Dr. Velma Tyson, chairperson of the Division of Science and Math in St. Croix.
