June 23, 2004 – Sen. Louis Hill will be off to Lexington, Ky., on Saturday to take part in this year's Toll Fellowship Program.
The program is aimed at developing the next generation of state government leaders. This year's presentations, which will run through July 1, focus on state government trends analysis, policy development and institutional change.
Hill, 44, is one of 40 young leaders accepted into the program from various states and territories. He is a first-term senator who previously served as St. Thomas/Water Island administrator.
The program, named for a former Colorado senator, Henry Toll, is sponsored by the Council of State Governments, which Toll founded. The council is a national, non-partisan, not-for-profit public service organization. The leadership fellowship program began in 1986.
