Reading Program Events Are on at Petersen Library

July 30, 2004 – "The Art of Reading Program" at the Athalie M. Petersen Library in Frederiksted has ongoing events.
Two events have been announced:
— July 30, 12:30 to 2 p.m. There will be a special guest, Levy Lee Simon, award-winning playwright, screenwriter, actor, author of the stage reading "For the Love of Freedom."
— July 30, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Pizza Party at the Lost Dog. This is the launching of the Writers Guild. It's sponsored by the Lost Dog Restaurant for all children participating in "The Art of Reading Program." It's in the restaurant's courtyard on King Street, Frederiksted.
— Aug. 27, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Pizza Party at the Lost Dog. This is the launching of the Children's Book Club. It's sponsored by the Lost Dog Restaurant for all children participating in "The Art of Reading Program." It's in the restaurant's courtyard on King Street, Frederiksted.
To join "The Art of Reading Program," children ages 5 to 13 must register at the library. Parents of registered children are invited to the events. Confirm reservations by signing up at the Library front desk.
