The Virgin Islands Public Services Commission (PSC) is conducting a survey/needs assessment for high speed Digital Signal, level 3 (DS-3) service in the Territory.
DS-3 level of service, or T-3 as it is also translated, is the equivalent of 28 T-1 Channels, each operating at total signaling rate of 1.544 Mbps. The DS-3 data rate is 44.736 Mbps, supports 672 channels, 64 Kbps each.
The PSC invites telecommunications/internet customers including high volume residential, business, commercial and industrial customers, organizations and government agencies to contact our offices and provide written comments on the needs, demand for and availability of DS-3 facilities in the U. S. Virgin Islands.
