Aug. 15, 2004 – The Friends of St. Thomas Public Libraries invite the community to an awards ceremony at 1 p.m. Saturday in celebration of reading.
Awards will be presented to winners in the "Hooked on Books" summer reading program and in the first "V.I. Heroes" essay contest at the Enid Baa Library. The "Hooked on Books" winners will receive gift certificates to purchase more books and the "V.I. Heroes" winners will receive a certificate and be honored by the posting of essays on the Friends' Web site.
