Nov. 17, 2004 – Homicide detectives of the V.I. Police Department are asking for the community's help in finding information about a man found shot to death Tuesday in Paul M. Pearson Gardens near Building 10.
Responding to an 11:23 p.m. report of gunfire, police found the body of an unidentified black male with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a department release. The victim, who was dead by the time police arrived and who had no identification, was later taken to Roy L. Schneider Hospital for a forensic examination, the release said.
The department said its initial questioning of area residents has revealed no details about what happened at the Long Bay housing community. The investigation will continue, the statement said, and police are asking for assistance from anyone with information about this incident. Please call the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 715-5522, the Major Crime Unit at 715-5546 or dial 911. The department states that all calls will be held in the strictest of confidence and that anyone supplying information that leads to an arrest or conviction may be entitled to a reward.
If the death is determined to be a homicide it will be the territory's 34th this year, the 16th on St. Thomas.
