Road Closings, Restrictions for Cruise Ship Visits

Nov. 30, 2004 – Police are announcing evening parking restrictions and street closings for Frederiksted that will apply each day a cruise ship is in port for bunkering the rest of this year, according to Herminio Velazquez, deputy chief of police.
The closings are to accommodate the "Crucian Cultural Bazaar" to be held those days.
The affected dates are Nov. 30, Dec. 1, 7, 8, 12, 14, 15, 22, 23, 26 28 and 29.
On those days, there will be no parking nor traffic allowed on King Street between the intersections of Hill and Queen streets. The same will be true for Lagoon Street, between King and Queen streets.
Exceptions will be made for taxis for passenger pickup and drop-off. Taxi staging will be on Lagoon Street.
The streets will be affected from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
