Former St. Croix Resident Phyllis Linder Dead at 52


Dec. 12, 2004 – Longtime Ridgecrest, Calif. resident Phyllis Ann Linder died Monday, Nov. 29, 2004 at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital. She was 52.
A memorial service celebrating Ms Linder's life and attended by family and friends, was held on Friday, Dec. 10 at the Heritage Inn Club House.
Ms Linder was born June 17, 1952 in Grand Junction, Colo. She had lived in Ridgecrest for 25 years and was employed at the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake as a paralegal, a profession from which she retired in 2000. She enjoyed reading, watching movies and traveling abroad, especially to the Caribbean and London, England.
While in her 20s, she lived on St Croix where she was employed as a secretary in the hotel industry including then-Grapetree Bay Corp. on the East End.
Ms Linder is survived by her son, Jason Dean Linder; father Bobby Dean Caster; sister, Donnetta Reid; and niece Dawn April Reid.
