Library Friends Group to Hold Annual Meeting

Jan. 28, 2005 – The Friends of the St. Thomas Public Libraries will hold the annual meeting at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at the Enid Baa Public Library in downtown Charlotte Amalie.
The agenda includes electing new members and recognizing longstanding staff member Dianne Turnbull. Claudette Lewis, assistant commissioner of the Planning and Natural Resources Department, will announce to the public the status of the proposed new public library in Tutu.
All are invited to join the Friends "to set a new course in 2005-2006," a release said. Attorney Frank Schulterbrandt, chief executive officer of the Economic Development Authority, and Keith Richards of Governmental Capital Projects of the Virgin Islands have been invited to give a brief presentation about the planned public library.
Light refreshments and food will be served.
