Beach Advisory Week Ending March 18

March 18, 2005 — Commissioner Dean C. Plaskett, Esq., of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) announces that the Division of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Beach Water Quality Monitoring Program, which evaluates weekly water quality at 43 popular swimming beaches throughout the Territory, have performed water quality analysis during the week of March 14 – March 18, 2005. It has been determined that all of the 43 beaches meet water quality standards specifying that they are SAFE FOR SWIMMING AND/OR FISHING. These beaches include:

Frederiksted Public Beach (First Target)
New Fort (Ft. Louise Augusta)
Sprat Hall
Buccaneer
Davis Bay
CaneBay
Cramer’s Park
Columbus Landing
Grapetree Bay
Pelican Cove (Comorant)
Shoy’s
GentleWinds
Rainbow
Chenay Bay
Teague Bay
Halfpenny
St. Thomas

Water Bay
Lindquist
Sapphire
Magen’s Bay
Vessup Bay
Bluebeards
