I am saddened to read this news – we have been visiting the USVI for over a decade now with our children. Unfortunately we became uncomfortable on St. Croix and now St. Thomas. We plan on spending our next vacation on St. John in June thereby avoiding the huge crowds and potential violence. I hope the authorities find who is responsible for this and they are punished – I, too, do NOT understand why the party was allowed to continue on. Were the authorities scared or intimated ??? I will be following up on this – this is a gorgeous beach that tourists flock to… I would hate to see that change as I am sure the locals would also – this type of behavior can be devastating to the island's economy – just look at what happened on St. Croix…..
