Nov. 23, 2005 – Christiansted will be swinging into the season with its Holiday Jump-up on Friday. The fun with street vendors and entertainment starts at 5 p.m.
To make the event safe for all participants, the V.I. Police Department has the following parking restrictions and street closings. The restrictions and closing are effective at 4 p.m. and continue until the event is over.
Parking Restrictions

– No parking on Queen Cross Street from the intersection of Company Street to the Waterfront at the Caravelle Hotel
– No parking on Church Street between King and Company Streets.
Any vehicle found parked in the restricted areas will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner's expense.
Free parking will be permitted in the U. S. National Park Service, Fort Christian parking lot between the hours of 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Vehicles left in the parking lot after 10 p.m. will be towed.
— Drivers whose vehicles have been towed should contact the Ancilmo Marshall Command center at 773-2530 for further information.
Traffic Restrictions

– Vehicular Traffic traveling west on Hospital Street will be rerouted on Queen Street to proceed west.
In a press release Wednesday, the Police Department said its employees wish all a safe holiday and regret any inconvenience these changes or restrictions might cause.
