March 1, 2006 – The Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands initiated a non-profit sector in the U.S.V.I. in 2004 by creating a "Directory of Community Organizations Serving the Virgin Islands." The directory will be updated this year. Those non-profit organizations that wish to be listed in the directory can fill out a form, free of cost, that has been made available at www.cfvi.net or can call 774-6031 to receive a faxed copy. The deadline for submission is no later that March 17.
Many philanthropists come to CFVI requesting guidance on how to direct their financial contributions. This directory will continue to serve as a resource for those contributors. It will be available to community members seeking services and volunteer opportunities, as well.
