March 10, 2006 – The Department of Public Works this week announced parking restrictions in Frederiksted to allow a free flow of traffic.
Parking will not be allowed on Strand Street between Market and Hill streets.
Parking is also not permitted on the east side of Strand Street between Hill and King Cross streets.
According to a press release from DPW, Acting Commissioner George Phillips said the restrictions are necessary to permit freer flow of traffic and to allow easy access for emergency vehicles and personnel in the event of a crisis.
