St. Croix Student Wins Territorial Geography Bee

April 8, 2006 – St. Croix Country Day School eighth grader Sean Marin has prevailed as the territory's Geography Bee winner by National Geographic, according to St. Thomas-St. John District Coordinator for Social Studies Annie Smith.
Marin, age 14, along with ten elementary and middle/ junior high school students from across the territory, qualified for the 2006 Territorial Geography Bee last in March and took the examination on March 30. The students all received accolades for their knowledge of world geography.
Marin and an adult chaperone will received an all expense trip to Washington, DC. He will compete in the National Geography Bee in May for the national title.
