Oct. 31, 2006 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 5. This Sunday we will feature George Harrison, Ginny Mitchell, Robert Nighthawk, Sara Hickman, Lyle Lovett and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is the new re-issue of George Harrison's "Living in the Material World." This CD, originally released in the early 1970s, has been digitally free-mastered and now features two bonus tracks. It can also be purchased with a bonus DVD included.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Just to Hear Your Voice," from singer- songwriter Ginny Mitchell, who has a distinctive Western flair to her music.
We celebrate the birthdays of Ike Turner, Gram Parsons, Herman's Hermits lead singer Peter Noone, David Bryson of Counting Crows, Ryan Adams and Art Garfunkel.
We remember blues artist Robert Nighthawk, country artist Johnny Horton, and Righteous Brother Bobby Hatfield on the anniversary of their deaths.
We include music from Sara Hickman, who will be playing at Tillett Gardens on St. Thomas, on March 14.
We play new music from the Jackie Payne Steve Edmondson Band, bluegrass artist Laurie Lewis, Natalie MacMaster and more.
