Phone Service Out From Bovoni to Frenchman's Bay

Nov. 28, 2006 — Telephones from Bovoni to Frenchman's Bay went out Monday night, but Innovative Telephone said the company expects to solve the problem late Tuesday or sometime Wednesday.
Problems with the optic terminal equipment servicing those areas caused the outage, according to Innovative spokesperson Janette Millin Young.
"It's technical," she said Tuesday afternoon.
Company engineers were unsuccessful despite repeated efforts to solve the problem, Innovative President David L. Sharp said in a news release. Engineers from the manufacturing company are now working to solve the problem, he said.
Millin Young said she didn't know how many customers were affected. Customers must call the 912 repair operator to report their outage in order to get credit on their phone bill, she said.
The company is offering complimentary call forwarding to functioning lines for affected customers. Innovative apologized for the inconvenience.
