Brief: Public Access to V.I. Bills and Documents Just a Click Away

0

Dec. 15, 2006 — A new online document management system means that the public can now peruse a host of legislation and other legal documents from the comfort of their own computers, according to a release from Senate President Lorraine L. Berry.
"We now have a centralized repository with 12 years of legal history that can be instantly recalled for either public or private viewing," Berry said.
According to the release, the new system publishes approved documents to a web portal for public self-help requests. Residents can view legislative documents by going to the V.I. Senate website and clicking on the "Bill Tracking" button.
Bills, amendments, resolutions, permits, and leases are just some of the legal documents that can be accessed.
