The application deadline has been extended to Saturday, Jan. 20, according to a press release from the Department of Education.
The program was created in 1985 to increase the number of minority students who are seeking biomedical and medical research careers. It has evolved into the largest and most diverse biomedical research training for students from the 7th grade through medical and graduate schools.
A team of interviewers from the Distance Learning Center, which is housed at Temple U., will conduct interviews with students in February before the final selection of participants.
