What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

Feb. 6, 2008 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 2 to 4 p.m., on Sunday, Feb. 10. This Sunday we will feature music by Jimi Hendrix, Laura Bell, Dar Williams, Dave Van Ronk, Donovan, the Grandsons and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Jimi Hendrix Experience Live at Monterey." The Hendrix family has released this CD, which features the entire performance of the Jimi Hendrix Experience at the Monterey Pop Festival. Hendrix's exciting performance at Monterey really put him on the musical map and led to intensive interest from rock fans all over the country.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Longing for a Place Already Gone" by Laura Bell. She is a little bit twang and a little bit folk. Bell is an exciting young performer.
We play new music from Levon Helm, Bettye Lavette, Bruce Springsteen and more.
We also play music from Dar Williams, Toots and the Maytals, Wilco and more.
We remember folk artist Dave Van Ronk on the anniversary of his death, and we celebrate the birthdays of Ruthie Foster, Donovan, blues artist Big Joe Duskin and zydeco artist Rockin Dopsie.
We include music from the Grandsons, who will be appearing at numerous venues throughout the Virgin Islands. We also include music from Tab Benoit, who will appear at this year's St. John Blues Festival. We also play music featuring the trumpet mastery of Chris Botti, who plays Feb. 16, at the Reichhold Center on St. Thomas.

We give away a copy of a great instrumental blues CD from Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters, and we give away a reggae CD from Ziggy Marley.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
