Paul Golden's Razzle Dazzle

Dear Source:
We'd like to congratulate the Caribbean Community Theater on their latest production. The musical "Chicago" showcased much of the wonderful talent we are so fortunate to have here on St. Croix. What a treat! It was a fabulous performance.
For those who missed it. We are sorry. But you may still see an example of the "dog and pony" show that the story demonstrated if you go to a public meeting concerning Paul Golden.
The facts mean nothing to this man or his buddies who we always see supporting his proposed project on the South Shore. They are in denial of the pending lawsuits and the phony CZM permit which was issued to him by default. Reporters and others at his press conference last week questioned him about the problems plaguing his proposal, but he poo-pooed them, speaking only about the "pie in the sky".
With all due respect to Fred Ebb who composed the lyrics for the songs in "Chicago", we'd like to borrow a few:
Give 'em the old razzle dazzle
Razzle Dazzle 'em
Give 'em an act with lots of "Cash" in it
And the reaction will be passionate
Give 'em the old "jobs" and "airlift"
Bead and feather 'em
How can they see with "$$$$$" in their eyes?
What if your "businesses" all are "busting"?
So what if the site smells disgusting?
Razzle Dazzle 'em
And they'll never catch wise!
Give 'em the old razzle dazzle
Razzle Dazzle 'em
Give 'em a show that's so splendiferous
Row after row will crow vociferous
Give 'em the old flim flam flummox
Fool and fracture 'em
How can they hear the truth above the roar?
Throw 'em a fake and a finagle
They'll never know you're just a bagel,
Razzle dazzle 'em
And they'll beg you for more!
