Paul Yarwood, president of the Elmo Plaskett East Little League, and Richard Nicks, president of the Elmo Plaskett West Little League, invite the general public to the season opening activities on Saturday, Feb. 12. The event will begin promptly at 5 p.m. at D.C. Canegata Ballpark beginning with a brief opening ceremony. There will be two games played on Saturday following the ceremony. The weekend game schedule is as follows:
Saturday
5 p.m. Game 1: Yankees vs. Reds
7 p.m. Game 2: Pirates vs. Twins
Sunday
3 p.m. Game 1: Twins vs. Yankees
5 p.m. Game 2: Reds vs. Pirates
All persons interested in working with the Elmo Plaskett Junior/Senior Division (ages 13-16) for the 2011 baseball season, please contact Renee Hansen at 643-9969. This division includes the teams from both East and West Little League charters.
