Orel Arnold Roberts, also known as “Cookie,” died on March 8 in Henry County, Georgia.
He is survived by his mother, Edris Williams; son: Jerel; daughters: Natalie, Ayanna, Nafshyah and Arukah; granddaughter, Lanetta; sisters: Condasy “Connie” Weston, Valerie Pigott, Sharon Roberts, Vera Gonzalez, Hyacinth Manning, Joycelyn Joseph, Winifred Scott, Helen Williams, Alison Roberts, Elaine Samadi, Blondell Roberts and Elaine C.; nieces: Asya Mitchem and Zhondra Carty; and nephews: Sean Weston, Oyamas Weston, Terrence Weston and Aeron Mitchem; uncles: Meryl Williams, Larky Roberts and Carlton Roberts; aunties: Fenernella “Cook” Lewis, Isa Roberts and Monica “Nell” Graham.
He is also survived by cousins: Cynthia, Gloria, Cicely, Ina and Ivey; significant other, Cindy; special friends: Debbie and Marilyn; dear friends: Jacquie, RauShanah, Dahlia Percival, Collie Stevenson and family, Joy Hodge and family, Rick Jarvis, Melvin Edwards, Wanson Harris, Carlton Davy, Dane Henry, Wayne Thomas, Judith Rhymer, Barry Pigott, Winifred Jonas, Alexis George and Gean Pond; business associates: Kevin Williams and Kenrick Henry; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday March 19, at the Friedensfeld (Midland) Moravian Church. Interment will be at the Kingshill Cemetery.
