Students Begin Reading Competition

0

Going Against the Grain Peace Coalition has registered hundreds of students to compete in the Seven Year Project. Hundreds of books have been issued through many of the schools this week.
Students at Ivanna Eudora Kean, Charlotte Amalie, Gifft Hill, Central and St. Croix Educational Complex are among the participants. Parents enrolled in the Parent University on St. Croix also registered their children.
The project will send two students to one of the Seven World Wonders over the next seven years. Parents or Students interested in registering can call 626-8106. Registration ends on April 15.
This project was made possible by many concerned parents and citizens in the community and major sponsors such as the V.I. Lottery, Rotary Club East, and Caribbean Education Initiative. Most sponsorship came through online giving.
