Desmond Casimir, also known as Desie,” died on April 19, at Schneider Regional Medical Center. He was 51 years old.
He is survived by his grandmother, Gracia Alfred; sons: Jenner, Andes, Edmund and Derron Casimir; daughter, Cordella Casimir; brothers: Osborn, William “Master” and Leo Casimir; sisters: Claudia Samuel, Francisca and Felixia Antoine; nieces: Lhana, Melisha, Melisa Casimir, Oliva, Melaine, Marcia, Millie and Sonnel; nephews:Wilbert, Wilson, Wilmond Casimir, and Derrick and Dion Samuel; uncles: Lander Alfred, Christopher Defoe and Cletus Baron; aunts: Dornis Registe Evelyn Mitchel, Sylvia, Viola, Jane, Jonah and Aldith Fontaine; four grandchildren; special friend, Sylna Anselm; as well as many other relatives and friends including Erah, Donovan, Shirley, Clifton, Mervin, Sharmaine, Nadine, Sharma, John Pharaoh, Elie Morvan, Lucy Martin, Metrona, Destin and Small Black.
A viewing will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, followed by a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Grand Bay Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Dominica.
