The Virgin Islands National Guard Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) in conjunction with the VING Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program will offer financial wellness education to the V.I. Fire Department on Tuesday, Sept. 25.
The VING has embarked on a “Joining Community Forces" initiative with the fire department entitled, “Financial Wellness.” “Joining Community Forces" will be a community outreach initiative, defined as an endeavor by an organization to connect its ideas or practices to the efforts of other organizations, groups, specific audiences or the general public.
The National Guard works closely with the local, regional and national communities to link their services to the services already available to the Guard.
Topics include:
• Estate Planning
• Retirement Planning
• Investment Planning
• Income Tax Planning
• Insurance Planning
• Employee Benefits
The goal is to allow different organizations to share their best practices in order to benefit their employees. This initiative is also designed as an employer outreach initiative in hopes of creating more support for Guard and Reserve during the phases of employment.
For more information on the event, contact Junior Dyett, employer support of the guard and reserve program support manager at 226-4678.
