VING Hosts Vendor Workshop

0

The Virgin Islands National Guard will host a workshop for local vendors who are interested in conducting business with the federal government at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the distance learning classroom located in the Estate Bethlehem compound on St. Croix.
The workshop is intended to assist local vendors in registering for a CAGE code that is required to conduct business with the federal government, according to a press release issued Thursday by the Office of the Adjutant General.
“The process is very tedious and by the time we are done vendors will be set up with a CAGE code and good to go,” said Maj. Geraldine Vaval, supervisory contract specialist for the VING’s United States Property and Fiscal Office’s Purchasing and Contracting Division.
Vendors are asked to bring their banking information, tax ID and nine-digit Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) code to complete the registration.
Vendors are also asked to call Maj. Vaval to confirm their attendance at the workshop. In order to gain access to the Estate Bethlehem compound, each participant is required to present a picture ID to security personnel at the entrance to the facility.
For more information on the vendor workshop, contact 2nd Lt. Kirk Rojas, VING public affairs officer, at 712-7750 or e-mail [email protected]; or Maj. Geraldine Vaval at 712-7831.
