‘Sharing Our Stories’ and ‘A Humane Inclusion Experience’ to Be Held at Steeple Building

Daina King-Sall, founder of EARTHANGLE, invites the community to visit the Steeple Building at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5. EARTHANGLE will host a cultural reception highlighting the launch of “Sharing Our Stories,” a program in literacy and accessibility.
Parks are a wonderful place to share stories and share them in many different ways. EARTHANGLE is excited to be in partnership with the Regional Library for the Blind and Physically Challenged, and both are committed to ensuring that literacy and reading materials are available for everyone. Letitia Gittens, public librarian, will share a story about a girl growing up in the 1960s and how she relates to the Christiansted National Historic park area as her playground.
In addition, a photographic exhibit called “A Humane Inclusion Experience" will open and be on display from Feb. 5-20 at the Steeple Building.
The Humane Inclusion program is a four-week, summer outdoor healing. It is an interactive relationship-building experience, based on understanding differences in individual abilities.
This event will be held in July at the Salt River Bay Historical Park and Ecological Reserve as well as various places on St. Croix.
