Yacht Haven Grande will be holding a musical event: “Scats & Dogs: An Evening of Jazz to Benefit the Humane Society of St. Thomas” on Saturday, Aug. 28. It will feature a raffle with great prizes, live jazz under the full moon, a tequila tasting, wine tasting, pets up for adoption and … a fashion show for people and pets!
All dogs are welcome to participate; all you need to bring is a fabulous sense of style and definitely a sense of humor. The dogs will be outfitted at the event (unless your dog has an outfit he/she absolutely must show off), so be sure to come early so the organizers can make sure your dog is decked out from head to toe. The fashion show will start at 6 p.m.; therefore, people should check in by 5:30 p.m. at How Bout Your Pet.
Organizers are requesting that participants make a $5 donation or more — all proceeds will benefit the Humane Society and its Animal Care Campus. To participate, just pick up a registration form at How Bout Your Pet, and drop it off with your donation at any time before the event. Participants have until 5:30 p.m. on the day of the event to register.
