Vertrum Augustine Bradley, also known as "Bradshaw," of 61 Estate Carlton died on Dec. 24 in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
He is survived by his mother, Ethleen Edwards; daughters: Alexandria Bradley and Delecia Bradley; son, Bradshaw Bradley; grandchildren: Adenike Powell, Leborne Powell II, Ahmen Estrill, Auja Cascen and R’Mani Bradley; stepchildren: Annette Francis, Clyde Williams, Althea Williams, Dale Williams, Leslie Williams, Patrick Williams Jr., Dean Williams and Kenny Williams; 29 step-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sisters: Rolona Bradley, Thelma Bradley, Lucinda Phillip, Carolyn Williams and Andrea Buckley; brothers: Esbun Galloway, Eric Buckley and Sylvester “Menco” Berkeley; aunts: Mary Doris Williams, Laurene Innis, Hyacinth Bradley, Ethlyn Bradley and Baby Archie Bradley; uncles: George Bradley, Ashton Bradley and Conrad Bradley; nieces and nephews: Claudette Bradley, Rodney Walters, Ian Percival, Dale Percival, Curtis Williams, Wycliff Williams, Hansel Williams, Micheline Phillip, Nicole Phillip,
Other surviving nieces and nephews include Kelly King-Johnson, Thorne Phillip, Brandon Phillip, Beverly Huggins, Dahlia Matthew, Natasha Williams, Chad Phillip, Orisia Hazel, Shavia Berkeley, Iyana Berkeley, Brandon Berkeley, Jonathon Berkeley, Shanika Berkeley, Christina Berkeley, Dasja Berkeley, Corry Berkeley, Jasmine Berkeley, Davanelle Freeman, Kywana Freeman, Erica Buckley, Gabriel Buckley and Jeremiah Buckley; godchildren: Joy Shaw and Khalid Matthew; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held from 5-7 p.m. at the James Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, Jan. 9.
The Home Going Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, at the New Testament Church of God, 32-C Estate Whim. The viewing will commence at 9 a.m. followed by the service at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
