The Festival of Trees dinner gala and annual Christmas tree auction will be held from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8 at the St. George Village Botanical Garden.
The auction will be part of a gala evening and fund-raiser that begins with a sit-down dinner titled, "A Victorian Celebration with Respect to Charles Dickens."
The menu will include Green Beans Queen Victoria and Scrooge Crab Apples. It will feature roast beef and a flaming plum pudding.
Carolers will entertain and Santa will be on the scene with a sleigh full of gifts that can be purchased for $25. Buyers won't know what is in the wrapped present but each is valued from $50 to $250 and is donated by a local merchant.
Twenty decorated trees will be auctioned following the dinner.
Tickets are $50 each and must be purchased in advance.
