The death of Anthony Rizza, 51, of Mahogany Run has been officially classified a suicide.
Francisco Landron, medical examiner, told Radio One the fatal gunshot wound to Rizza's head was consistent with suicide.
Rizza's wife told police that her husband shot himself as he was getting out of his pickup truck, after returning home from missing the St. John ferry, at about 6 p.m. Saturday.
Police Chief Jose Garcia told Radio One that in the absence of further evidence of foul play, police were closing the investigation..
Rizza, who reportedly frequented the shooting range, shot himself with his own gun.
