Parents of students enrolled in summer school programs are encouraged to check the guidelines of these programs to ensure that their students will receive the appropriate credit for the classes they take.
Guidelines for the acceptance of credits earned by students have been established. Classes at the secondary level must provide a minimum of thirty (30) days of classroom instruction. Senior high school classes must be at least 2 hours in duration, and junior high school classes must be 1 1/2 hours in duration.
Parents and guardians are urged to make sure that the classes in which their children are enrolled this summer will result in credits applied to the school records.
