MORE SPONSORS SIGN ON FOR SINBAD

Innovative Communications Corp. and the West Indian Co. Ltd. have committed to contributions of cash and services for the Sinbad Soul Music Festival coming up May 26 to 31 in St. Thomas.
ICC, as the parent company for VitelCellular, has committed $200,000 to the festival in cash and services, with some services to be provided by other ICC co-sponsors, including the Virgin Islands Telephone Corp. and the Virgin Islands Daily News Publishing Co., according to a release from Government House. VitelCellular and St. Croix Cable TV will also sponsor Sinbad's Free Beach Party on St. Croix on May 28, the release said.
WICO has agree to provide $50,000 toward the festival and in-kind services. WICO will provide cleanup, security and portable restroom facilities for all events taking place at the WICO dock.
Gov. Charles W. Turnbull has directed acting Tourism Commissioner Clement "Cain" Magras to hold daily briefings on the Soul Music Festival progress "to keep all agency heads abreast of the planned events and any new developments."
