Aug. 7, 2008 – Neil Simon's comedy "The Odd Couple," directed by Marc Fellner-Erez, will have six performances at Pistarckle Theater. They will be shown at 8 p.m., on Aug. 14, 15, 16, 22 and 23, and at 2 p.m., on Aug. 23. It stars Elgin Gordon as Felix and Damien Cardle as Oscar.
Originally conceived by Neil Simon, who based the play on his brother Danny's true-life experience, the play's concept is best described in the one-sentence treatment Simon submitted to Paramount, who financed the stage play sight-unseen: The play is about two men–one divorced and one estranged and neither quite sure why they are having the same conflicts and fights they had in their marriages.
