The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority is advising its St. Thomas water customers on the eastern end of Charlotte Amalie that pumping hours at Donoe Pump Station will be extended this weekend. Pumping hours will be from 8 p.m. on Friday to 8 a.m. on Saturday and from 8 p.m. on Saturday to 11 a.m. on Sunday.
During this time, customers at higher elevations in the eastern end of Charlotte Amalie will likely experience reduced water pressure or complete loss of pressure. Extended pumping hours are required in order to build water storage levels in the east end of St. Thomas.
